WELCOME TO MOUNTAIN VIEW!

 2018 CAASPP Testing

From April 18 – May 2 Mountain View students in 3rd, 4th, 5th grade will be taking the online computer adaptive test in English-language arts and math.

The following suggestions are steps parents can take to ensure their child performs at their optimal level on the test. Your child should get a good night’s sleep and eat a nourishing breakfast each of the days of the test. Students need to be reminded by parents how important it is to listen carefully to the directions given by their teacher and try their hardest to do their best on all test items. Also, it should be explained to them, that they are not expected to know everything that is presented on the test, but should attempt to answer all questions.

Students need to be on time and present each day of the test (please try to make appointments in the afternoon). And finally, each day of the test, before sending your child off to school, reassure him/her about the test-taking experience. Students who are calm and sure of themselves tend to do better.

VOLUNTARY SUPPLY DONATIONS

We regularly receive questions regarding what parents can do to help with supply donations for their child’s classroom.  Click the link below to download “Voluntary Donation” lists for each grade level.  If you would like to purchase and donate extra supplies to your child’s classroom teacher, make sure to reference the grade level that your child will be in beginning this fall.  All supply donations can be turned in directly to the classroom teacher.  With state budget cuts affecting every area of education, we greatly appreciate any assistance our parents are willing to provide.  Thank you!
